As an experienced Maryland family law attorney and mediator, Lindsay Morrow Stanton educates clients about all out of court settlement options, and also prepares clients for litigation when going to court is the only option. After receiving a thorough education about their options, clients are empowered to learn that there is often more than one way to resolve a conflict. With the availability of settlement negotiation, formal mediation, and mutual consent divorce, many couples are not only able to resolve their issues faster, but also with less acrimony and less expense. Lindsay's greatest professional satisfaction comes from offering each client the knowledge that he or she needs to feel comfortable and confident as they move forward through the process and with their lives.
In addition to her legal training and experience, Lindsay has completed specialized training to mediate complex child access and custody issues and is also trained in Collaborative Law. She also has been appointed by the Circuit Court for Howard County, Maryland to represent children in highly contested custody matters as a Best Interest Attorney.
Lindsay was selected to the 2020 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list - an honor bestowed on no more than 2.5% of attorney's in Maryland. Lindsay’s lifelong commitment to the law and her legal community includes membership in the Maryland Association for Justice, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Howard County Bar Association, Howard County Collaborative Professionals, and the James MacGill American Inn of Court.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Shelly M. Ingram, Lindsay served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Robert L. Bloom of the Family Division for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. During her judicial clerkship, Lindsay worked on a wide variety of complex family law cases, which served as a perfect introduction for a career dedicated to family law. Following her clerkship, Lindsay worked as an associate for a Montgomery County family law firm, before returning to her roots in Howard County.
